FORBES COMMUNICATIONS was founded two years ago by Alasdair Forbes (right). A professional journalist all his life, Alasdair worked on newspapers in his native Britain and also on newspapers or magazines in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Cyprus, Dubai and Hong Kong.
In 1999 he moved to Phuket, Thailand, as Managing Editor of the local English-language newspaper, the Phuket Gazette. When he joined the newspaper, it had 48 pages an issue and was published twice a month. By the time he left it, it was averaging 56 pages an issue and was published weekly. (See Links)
In addition to providing editorial, PR services and advice to a wide variety of clients, Forbes Communications advises on the structure of websites (see, for example, The Yamu and Miramare in Links).
Forbes Communications also supplies almost all the content for a new tourist magazine, My Phuket, which currently appears once every two months. (See Links)
