FORBES COMMUNICATIONS was founded in 2006 by Alasdair Forbes (right). A professional journalist all his life, Alasdair worked as a reporter and sub-editor on newspapers in his native Britain and also on newspapers and magazines in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Cyprus, Dubai and Hong Kong.
In 1999 he moved to Phuket, Thailand, as Managing Editor of the local English-language newspaper, the Phuket Gazette. When he joined the newspaper, it had 48 pages an issue and was published twice a month. By the time he left it, it was averaging 56 pages an issue and was published weekly. (See Links)
